PLATOONS

I just came with an interesting idea for a story. PLATOONS takes place in another High school-inspired world in the retro-futuristic setting. Each animal is labeled as High school stereotypes (nerds, jocks, etc.) and must live in separate zones. Meanwhile, an evil story dictator wants to take over the world and wipe out the entire Nerd country. The Dictator managed to spread fear and discrimination by taking over the entertainment cities and forced them to make propaganda high school shows and movies insulting and showing negative traits of every group. When the Principal (the former ruler of that world), heard about the reign of terror, she has formed a secret special Platoon. The Platoon must travel all around the world, form friendships with other groups, Contact the Teachers (The leaders of those countries), and fight against the Starzy army.

The Members of PLATOONS:

Joe the Pangolin: The average tween Pangolin who dreams of a purpose in life. He is shy but is pretty determined to achieve his goals. He can curl up into a bar and has the ability to roll around on all terrains and walls. He can also bounce like a rubber ball.

Roy Runner: The screwy, quirky Road-runner with a high-pitched Daffy Duck/Woody Woodpecker voice, who wants to be an artist. Everybody thinks he's too looney, but he's smart. He has super-speed and has Racecar boots equipped with a flamethrower, Thick wheels, jets, and a buzz-saw and he can fly.

Andy Gator: The big, strong alligator with a low-toned voice, who can carry tanks, jets, water cannons, and rockets on his back. He looks, tough, but he's actually easy-going and nice. His favorite hobbies are reading, poetry, and acting.

Dorthy Bunny: The athletic tomboy of the Smiley Symphonies Squad who dreams of being a singer, but also wanna spread happiness to her friends. She is the goofball of the group and she loves to make everyone laugh. Sometimes her antics get her into trouble but she also knows how to get out of trouble. She possessed a Microphone staff equipped with a tase that shoot stars and electricity and propeller boots.

Grace Fox: She is the leader of the Smiley Symphonies squad of the Platoon one of Dorthy's best friends who is a perfectionist. She is graceful, professional, and serious. Whenever she gets annoyed with Dorthy's goofy antics or causing her grief, she'd either argue with her or just slaps her. No matter how much she gets annoyed by Dorthy, She secretly cares about her. She possessed a Microphone staff equipped with a torch that shoot fire and propeller boots.

Mimi Cat: The silent, shy, sweet kitten of the Smiley Symphonies Squad who loves reading, mathematic, and science who writes her speech with her tablet. Even though she is quiet, she can either meow or call people's names. She is Dorthy Bunny's best childhood friend who always got her back. She possessed a Microphone staff that can shoot water and popsicles and propeller boots.

I got this idea based on my personal taste in High School movies. It's not because I hate high school, in fact, I had a fun time in high school and met nice people back in my days. Believe it or not, most high school shows are about "being popular," "bullying," "nerd abuse," or just "a dumb musical," plus most high school settings are generic. I'm afraid that it encourages the audience to insult and stereotype other people which leads to bullying as a whole. Once I saw an anime called Kill La Kill, where the high school has a fascist atmosphere, It gave me an idea to make a high-school inspired world. I was thinking of making a world based on Diesel Punk, World War II, and World War II-inspired cartoons and anime, because I love the fact that Cartoon characters have a very big role in WWII with Training Cartoon shorts, propaganda, being icons on military vehicles and tanks. It shows that Cartoon characters are heroes of their own time... plus it would be fitting considering that people also us propaganda back in the old days. The characters are mostly based on the classic cartoon characters
